In Belgium the responsibility for the implementation of the EED lies at regional level, although the federal level also has certain competences, such as fiscal policy and product standards, which support the regional policies in this field.
In the Flemish Region the implementation of the EED is coordinated by the Flemish Energy Agency (Ministry of Energy).
In Wallonia the implementation of the EED is coordinated by the ministry of Energy and Sustainable Buildings.
