The Energy and Water Agency within the Ministry for Energy, Enterprise and Sustainable Development is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Energy Efficiency directive. Various other ministries are also involved in the implementation including the Ministry for Environment, Climate Change and Planning for those articles relating to buildings and the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects for those measures relating to transport.
